During this week, i were working on a field survey on System of Rice Intensification (SRI) in 6 provinces of Cambodia, including Kandal, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Cham, Kampong Speu, Takeo and Kampot. The main purpose of this survey is to assess the situation of SRI practices in the former CEDAC’s target villages. It is good to know how much percent of farmers still applying SRI in their field, has the number of SRI farmers increased?
Mr. Yim Sok Sophors who is the M&E coordinator of CEDAC Field Program conducted this survey in cooperation with key farmers/farmer promoters, members of ALDA (Agriculture and Local Development Association) to collect the data and information. We will interview 970 farmers in 97 villages, in order words we will interview 10 farmers per village.
The data from this interview will be installed and analyzed for reporting. It is expected that survey report will be completely produced in this month, June 2011.
