From 18-21 April 2011, 3 CEDAC’s staff members including Mr. Ung Vuthy, Mr. Chean Ratanak Visal and Mr. Nuon Piseth participating in a training session on Impact Monitoring that was organized by VBNK, with funding support from EED. The training was taken place in VBNK office in Phnom Penh.
In total, 18 participants participated in the training, including 7 women; the participants came from different NGOs like AFC, CEDAC (Cambodian Center for Study and Development in Agriculture), CWS (Church World Service), FNN (Farmer and Nature Net), and LWF (Lutheran World Federation).
First of all, the participants indicated their personal expectations coming from the training. And then some key words of M&E were explained by the trainers, such as input, output, use of output, outcome, and impact. Example, open-question and answer, and practical exercise were conducted among the participants in order to understand the process of the result chain.
In conclusion, the participants were strongly interested in the result chain especially the use of output. The training was helpful for the participants to improve their capacity for conducting impact monitor of the project implementation effectively.
